FirstPass for Mac

FirstPass copies your shoot off the card, verifies every file, and cuts it down to the keepers — on your Mac, offline, for one payment.

Every copy is checked against the card before the card is released, by size or by a full content checksum, and anything that fails is re-copied automatically.

Work that has to be handed on can carry a CSV manifest, a PDF report, or an ASC MHL sidecar — the Media Hash List format published by the American Society of Cinematographers.

Then cull: compare similar frames side by side with synchronised zoom and pan, rate and colour-flag at speed, and filter down to what you are keeping. Ratings are written as XMP, so Lightroom, Bridge and Photo Mechanic read them straight away.
